On Top of the World

Since Saturday I have felt like I was on top of the world! It's been awesome and exciting and for once it feels so nice. I had my dance recital Saturday and all the stress from rehearsals was well worth it. A lot of my good friends attended and my family and Shane's family was there. Unfortunately Lindsey and Mom missed it but for good reason. JORDYNE GRADUATED!!!! I am so excited for her, she's awesome! I am so proud of her she saw a dream and she achieved it. She is such a passionate person and I am inspired by her and her strength everyday! I only wish I could have the passion she has for baking for at least one thing! I'm just so so so proud of her!

Sunday we went fishing, it was really relaxing and fun but we didn't catch a darn thing!!!! We're going to try again and possibly go later like around 4 p.m. we're just not sure when yet. I'm also planning to go camping if the weather ever gets warm but its a slow process.

Yesterday however was a little scary. Nicole (my best friend) called me at 4:30 in the morning and needed to go to the ER. Me being the temporary bad friend I was didn't pick up because I thought it was a text message. When I woke up at 7 I had a text from her so I rushed to the ER and long story short she had a cyst in her ovary that had to be removed. We spent the day in the hospital and her mom, dad, and fiance came back from Rock Springs so they are all here now, it was very scary though.

For those of you who don't know Nicole she is awesome. I met her over a year ago (probably about a year and a half now) when I worked at catering. She was the really talkative one and when I worked my first event she was there. I remember the first time I met her she was telling Lindz and I about how she caught her parents having sex when she was 5, ha she told us all the gorey details. It was so funny and now looking back it was SO Nicole. Nicole doesn't hold things back she tells it how it is and she is not afraid of what people think of her. She's a fiery little one (and when I say little I mean it) she doesn't look it but she could bust your butt if you make her mad. She is one of the most caring friends I've ever met and with my handful of friends she ALWAYS is the one to call and see if you want to do something. I honestly cannot say I have met a friend this good in either high school or college!!!!

Also.... GREAT NEWS!!!! MOST EXCITING OF ALL AND I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST! My number one goal on my 101 in 1001 was to get a 4.0 in a semester of undergrad. I was beginning to feel defeated, like it just was not possible. I have had semester after semester of 3.5, 3.75. 3.6, but no 4.0. I was feeling like this semester would be another 3.75 and feeling totally defeated with only a year left of school. When I got home last night I checked my grades in anticipation hoping the one grade that was 4 days late would FINALLY be in!!!! Ugh I wasn't expecting much and was certain it would be a B... BUT it was an A!!!! A's in all my classes this semester I GOT IT, I DID IT!!! I GOT MY 4.0!!!! I don't think I've been that excited EVER... I have worked so hard throughout college and was always falling short and I FINALLY DID IT! I literally flew out of the bed to show Shane my accomplishment! I know I've accomplished many great things, but this feels like the best!

So on May 18th, 2010 I accomplished goal #1, get a 4.0 in a semester of undergrad!
